Asking someone what comes in his mind when he thinks about Colombia, mostly you'll get answers like "Cocaine, Guerrilla, drugs, war,...maybe coffee!"
But Colombia is much more than that!!!
Sure there are loads of problems with drugs and guerrillas, but most people live in the big cities and have never seen that in real... only in TV, like we do!
Actually Colombia is one most beautiful countries in Latin America, because of its diversity.
Colombia has coastlines with the Caribbean Sea, aswell with the Pacific. Wide parts of the country belong to the Anden region. The Amazonas and the "Llanos" in the south-east are the least populated regions.
Additionaly some Islands (like San Andres) belong to Colombia.
The climate is nearly the same yearround. It only vary heavy between the different regions itsself. The Caribbean Coast has a hot and humid climate, while many mountains are covered with snow.
Colombia has lots of cultural heritages both of the Spanish and Indians.
