Nightlife Spot: Colosseum Pub Crawl
I met many of the people that work for the Colosseum Pub Crawl. They are all nice and really fun! I met them on Tuesday and Wednesday in September. From 9-10 pm they hang out near the Colosseum and drink. They have beer, wine and cocktails (vodka, lemon soda). We played a drinking game called Flipper. We had so much fun the first night that we went back again the next night. We would have gone more, but we only had 2 nights in Rome.

Night Lights: Plaza lined with bars and clubs

Nightlife Spot: Campo de' Fiori
This plaza is a good place to go any night of the week. There are always people talking and drinking in the plaza, or in one of the bars/clubs that line the plaza. We were hanging out at a bar there called "Sloppy Sams". But as soon as you go to that plaza, they will probably be handing you flyers from different places, you can take your pick. Sloppy Sam's has a website, but it is not working right now. According to their flyer, Sloppy Sams is open 365 days per yr. Happy Hr is 4-8 pm Mon-Fri.

Nightlife Spot: Pupitre Pub
Open 9am-2:00am. Do an internet search to find out more about absinthe. It is illegal to sell absinthe in the U.S., which is what prompted us to want to try it. It is supposed to be stronger than merely alcohol and has hallucinogenic properties. I only had 1 shot and my sister had 2 shots of absinthe. We also had several other drinks that night. We didn't have any hallucinations, but it must have been strong because we don't remember many details of the night. But we do know that we had a good time!
