I went for a short holiday in January 1999 to SYDNEY, Australia. I was there from January 17 - 22. I wanted to visit the city before the Olympics 2000. It was fun. This was my first time to Sydney and I really enjoyed myself there.
Sydney is a giant city, measuring about 70 kilometres from north to south and 55 across. It is divided into 8 parts. They are The Rocks and Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, City Centre, Paddington, Manly and the Northern Beaches, The Harbour, Kings Cross, Bondi and Eastern Suburbs and The Olympic Village.
Sydney is warm and vibrant. It is an easy place to get to know and like and even fall in love with. Sydney is relatively safe, clean, unpolluted and Australians are generally relaxed and easy-going.
Sydney was established on 26 January 1788, after the arrival of the 11 ships of the First Fleet from England. From that time, Sydney's population has grown to about 3.8 million |
