Ithaca is home of Cornell University, one of the top-ranked schools in upstate New York. It's also a pleasant town with plenty of places to eat and to stay, an excellent base for touring the Finger Lakes area.
The surrounding scenery is as beautiful as any in the Finger Lakes region. Located on the south end of Cayuga Lake, Ithaca is only a few miles from many waterfalls, parks, and wilderness areas. Shown here is part of the scenic Taughannock Gorge, near the western shore of Cayuga Lake.
While hiking in the parks, keep an eye out for the wildlife. This baby fox (look closely in the center of the photo) was playing peek-a-boo with me near Taughannock Falls.

Hi Tom, see you liked Ithaca too. Your pics look a little warmer than mine yet were only one month later and much less snow.
