New England's premier coastal resort | The boat docks on Martha's Vineyard |
In 1602, the explorer Bartholomew Gosnold set out for the New World from Falmouth, England. He discovered this lovely island off the coast of what is now Massachusetts, and named it for his daughter. Since then, Martha's Vineyard has become the top coastal resort in the northeast. Everything here is VERY pricey, so unless you are rich, it's better to just visit for the day. |
