North Wales is less developed, and generally less of a tourist destination than is South Wales. And Conwy is one of the best-preserved medieval walled towns in all of Europe. Like York and Chester, it still has its original walls. Tourism being rather limited, it remains a small, rather quaint fishing town. It appears very little changed over the centuries. Coming here, one feels transported back to another time. |
| | Conwy Castle Within the walls stands the medieval Conwy Castle. Rather small, it is nonetheless in near-perfect condition, with nearly intact defences. |
