Its history dates back to Roman times, and its architecture reflects that heritage. You can find every style from Roman to medieval to Renaissance to modern. The art galleries are among the world's best. With such a photogenic country, it's no wonder that the French invented photography, and remain leaders in that field.

La Ville Lumiere, or City of Light, is a constant hub of activity. Few other cities have so much going on all the time. Paris is one of those cities where you can enjoy yourself, and learn a lot, just by strolling about.
