"Hornby Island, British Columbia" Hornby Island by Carmanah
Hornby Island Travel Guide: 14 reviews and 47 photos
Pros and Cons
- Pros:Gorgeous beaches with white sand, home to a thriving artist and hippy community, a blend of rural life and island living, the smell of the salt water air is wonderful
- Cons:Kind of out of the way to get to, as you need to take a ferry from Vancouver Island over to Denman Island, cross Denman Island and then take another ferry to Hornby Island.
- In a nutshell:An ideal place to get away from it all, to get in touch with your inner conscious.

I camped here about 12 years ago at the Heron Rocks campground on the south end...serenity. Went canoeing and fishing and ate fresh oysters off the beach.
