"An afternoon spent at the Dungeness Spit" Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge by Carmanah

In the summer of 1992, my family decided to spend a week on the Olympic Peninsula. This is the north-west region of Washington State, located on the west side of Puget Sound. It's known for its parks, its rainforests, its beaches and its remote location. The largest cities in the Olympic Peninsula region are Port Angeles and Port Townsend. So why did I put a bunch of my information and photos in the Sequim section? Sequim (pronounced Skwim) is a very tiny town located near the Dungeness Spit park. Sequim is the closest town to that park, and it makes sense putting it here. :) Enjoy!

Haven't been to Dungeness in quite a while. It's probably time to take our own kids there.

The coastline here looks really nice! Of course, being from the Maritimes, I love ocean beaches and driftwood!!

Another nice page on a great Washington destination that's a bit out of the way! I love this part of the state.

That looks like a very pleasant path to the beach. Tall trees.
