A visit to Claude Monet's garden in Giverny

Being able to visit Claude Monet's garden in October was such a great part of my trip to France. Although many of the flowers had wilted, the sunflowers were still standing tall, and splashes of red and gold made this beautiful garden come alive in my photos.

Our class visited Monet's garden for an hour or two during our last week in France, just before returning to Paris for our final days. Having been a fan of Monet's art, I really felt lucky to be able to explore.

We were given a guided tour through his garden (both around the pond and through the flowers), into his home (complete with Japanese paintings), and his studio.
Beautiful autumn colours and the waterlilies
