I lived here for a couple of years, just outside of Chicago. A great city, truly---great transportation, fun neighborhoods, and Lake Michigan.
But all the tollroads really suck! You can't go anywhere outside of the city without stopping every now and then to pay the toll booth guy!
And the blues bars tend to be too commercialized (unless you go to the poorer parts of the city, south of downtown)---they seat you at tiny tables, then have a quick 2-hour set, and then herd you out the door so the next crowd of sheep can be herded in---and all for $10!
