Male tourists walking around... and other Rome, Italy Warning Or Danger Tips

Male tourists walking around in the northern part of the city should be careful of men approaching you and begging/cajoling you to visit their 'nice, American, piano bar/disco.' In truth, these men are drawing you in to prostitute establishments. My brother and I found this out the hard way! They promise you a fun, dance-bar setting, with lots of Americans. When you get in, its about a dozen beautiful women sitting around, waiting for unsuspecting tourists. The girls will sit by you, and you think, 'my God, what great luck!' Then they ask you to buy them a few drinks. The drinks cost $20 per drink though! After a little conversing, you realize these women want hundreds of dollars to accompany you to your hotel! Its hard to get out of there before dropping $40 or so! Every night my brother and I walked to or from our hotel in this area, we were swarmed by these men who's job it is to draw-in tourists. Just tell them 'naw, I ain't into whores.' They'll protest innocense, but just ignore them, and keep walking---unless you DO want a gorgeous girl for the night. The girls told us that the police allow prostitution.
