Took awhile for me and my brother to warm-up to this city. The southern and western parts are more interesting. It ain't no Paris, that's for sure! (the Tiber river is shallow, ugly, and dirty---unlike the Seine in Paris). But go to this city to see the ruins. And we received some of the rudest treatment here of all the places we went to in Europe! Italians can be ass-holes...But somehow, amazingly, it is remembered as one of my favorites. |
