I have only been to Alicante airport, as I then went onto spend a week in Benidorm. Benidorm is not how I expected it to be. It is a tourist resort purposely developed for a variety of tourist's who flock there year after year. Benidorm has a lovely beach and clear warm waters, some stunning hotels near the cliff edge and many great bars. The only thing that turns me off is the tall high rise apartments that have cranes all around them. There are so many high rise apartments throughout Benidorm, I think it spoils the place. Instead of pretty villa's and breathtaking views of the sea outside your window, there is just hundreds of tall buildings before your eyes. |
