Watch it if a bunch of "harmless" kids come close to you, try to touch you saying how beautiful you are (either you are a guy or a girl - they did it to a guy friend of mine!!). They kept telling my friend "bello, bello" (beautiful) and they snatched his wallet from his front pocket!!! He did not feel a thing! We went to the Police but they weren't too helpful. We moved on and try to put this chapter behind us and 2 blocks away from the police station we saw the kids again, and ran back to the police station and told them... we only got something that can be translated as: "so what?"....

I travelled alone all last week. I never saw any of these gangs of harmless children. I walked all over central Rome, took the metro, the bus and etc. I wondered why your friend didn't have a money belt? |
