    • The restaurant Lamin Lodge is situated right on the Gambia river. Silvia and I hitchhiked from the national park to the restaurant. After lunch, we took a boat from the Lamin Lodge back to Banjul.

     I have to admit that I'm old enough to remember the TV adaptation of Roots! I think that being hassled is part and parcel of visiting developing countries. Everyone needs to make a few bucks to survive.
