I visited Lahore at the end of my 4-week trip though Pakistan. Lahore is the cultural center of Pakistan. Unfortunately, my camera broke while I visited Lahore. The only picture I can show you is that of two women dancing in Lahore's Shalimar Gardens. I want to use this page, to tell you about the situation of women in Pakistan. The situation of Pakistani women is not much different from women in other muslim countries - in fact, it's probably worse in Iran, Irak, Afghanistan ... All pictures of the girls and women that you find under "General Tips" were taken during my trip through northern Pakistan in July and August 2001. |
