Addicted to Brasov....

Romania was not a place I thought I would go one time... just simply because I didn't know anything about it. When I was sent the first time to Brasov in March of 2004, I learned better.

Now I've been to Brasov already the 7th time. And I enjoy that city again every time.

Brasov szene

Brasov, also known as Kronstadt or Corona, is an old medieval city. And it is situated in Transilvania, not only the "home of Draculas legend" but also an area with a fantastic nature, the Karpaten.

Therefore you can find there sights as Bran - the old "Dacula castle", Risnov - a castle ruin which was also called Rosenau and also former home of the reigns there. Sinaia, which is one of the most wonderful castles I've ever seen. And I would mention it in the same sentence with the famous Neuschwanstein. Then there is also this well known luxury skiing area Poiana, very close to Brasov and also worth a visit in summer time.

Brasov is such an impressive city - with much history and many houses in the style called in German "Jugendstil" (the style around 1910). Beside of this the nightlife is fantastic. The people now how to enjoy life. Plenty of good restaurants, bars and cafes. - And this is not only during the warm season!!

Pros and Cons

Pros:Great nightlife, nice people, good food, very beautiful city..
Cons:?? maybe free running big dogs during the night
In a nutshell:Come and visit it yourself!
