Introduction My first visit to Scotland was in 1997. My husband and I travelled with my parents to both Iceland and Scotland. We had a lovely week at the end of August (Iceland) and 2 weeks at the beginning of September (Scotland). We had a fabulous time, with lots of lovely scenery and interesting food and drink. |

Further trips My next trip to Scotland was in 2005, when I had the opportunity to go to Edinburgh for work. I went to attend a IUFRO conference and had a few extra days on the front end for a bit of sight-seeing. I'd always felt a bit ripped-off, since during my first visit to Scotland, our 1.5 days in Edinburgh were somewhat disrupted by the funeral held for Princess Diana. I was very happy to have the chance to return for more of a visit! And now we've just returned from another 2 weeks there (August 17-September 2, 2007)! |
