Ni How Ma... After returning from Jordan in October 2000, I then had to prepare to go to Beijing, China, in November. Another work trip, but this time, my husband was actually able to join me. It was very interesting. We managed to catch several tourist highlights – Great Wall, Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Summer Palace. We also had a field trip to the countryside to see some forestry sights and shop for silk! In the "field", we saw bamboo, bamboo, bamboo shoots, more bamboo and Chinese fir (Cunninghamia lanceolata - which I’d not seen since Forestry 100 dendrology labs!)
