<p>Christchurch has lots of old buildings and a river (the <b>Avon River</b>) running through the middle of the city. Lots of small cafes, bars and restaurants.
The city centre has a large area called <b>Cathedral Square</b>. It's a place where artisit's poet's and buskers spend time showing their talents. I can sit around here for ages as there is always something different happening.
It gets pretty cold in the South Island (April-September). So take warm clothing for this time. It can get hot in summer though.
There are Ski fields around this region (plenty of ski fields in the South Island).</p> |
