Off The Beaten Path: Go and stroke a turtle at...
  • Tip Rating:
  • Go and stroke a turtle at turtle island. You will notice that a turtle feels very funny to touch. Watch out it might bite you! The turtles are put back in the water after picking them up...they are not picked up often, the locals don't like that and they are right. Turtles don't live to be picked up all the time.

  • Tip Rating:
  • The temple at Budul in lake Berata looks like one of the temples in Pura Kehen. The difference is that the temple in Budul is bigger and only to be reached by boat.

  • Tip Rating:
  • Relaxing on a band and floating along was my favourite thing to do at the Waterbompark in Kuta. A kind of streaming river takes you a long waterfalls, flowers and all sorts of trees and plants. Butterflies and birds fly along. The 'river' splits in two at one point so you aren't floating the same way everytime.

  • Tip Rating:
  • Do watch out when you are floating along. Getting sunburnt on your shoulders, neck and head is very easy. So put on a summerhat or use a lot of suncream.

  • Tip Rating:
  • You can also go on the long or the fast slides (there are four slides here), play voleybal in the pool or just go for a swim. The extra specialties of this pool are massages and the drinks and sandwhichservice!
