Florence (Firenze) is a very big city full of monuments. You can admire here Il Duomo (the Dome Cathedral), Piazza della Signorina (Square of the ms) with Palazzo Vecchio (The Old Palace) and all the statues on it, including Michelangelos David, the churches like Santa Groce and the palaces like for instance Palazzo Pitti. Also famous is the old bridge with all the shops on it : Ponte Vecchio.

 personally, I tend to find that not only the gypsies are pickpockets, but so are some of the tourist and taxi agencies. They seem to have a notion, that all foreigners traveling in Europe are millionaires.
