Florence (Firenze) is a very big city full of monuments. You can admire here Il Duomo (the Dome Cathedral), Piazza della Signorina (Square of the ms) with Palazzo Vecchio (The Old Palace) and all the statues on it, including Michelangelos David, the churches like Santa Groce and the palaces like for instance Palazzo Pitti. Also famous is the old bridge with all the shops on it : Ponte Vecchio.
Nice places nearby Florence are: Fiesole |

Lily_darcey Fri Sep 18, 2009 05:25 UTC personally, I tend to find that not only the gypsies are pickpockets, but so are some of the tourist and taxi agencies. They seem to have a notion, that all foreigners traveling in Europe are millionaires. | pr1970 Thu Sep 1, 2005 19:03 UTC film available in italy? whatever next, they`ll have TV`s next ! ;-) | MATIM Sat Oct 9, 2004 21:49 UTC A few weeks back we where in Florence, it looked like an open air museum, beautiful :-) | busbing Wed Jan 28, 2004 11:31 UTC Excellent page |
