Seychelles is a paradise. Period. There are some other paradises on this earth, but Seychelles has its own characteristics: endemic bird species, coco-de-mers, granite boulders, giant tortoises etc.
Seychelles won't let you down, but do your research. Plan your trip well and you'll enjoy it more.
Be aware though: Seychelles is easily one of the most expensive tourist destinations in the entire world. One liter of drinking water can cost 6 dollars or 7 euros. That's not to say it would not be worth it...it definetly it is. The good thing about high prices is that there are *very little* people visiting the islands at any given time. You will always find deserted beaches and isolation in paradise. I myself believe it is a justified course of action: sustainable, ecologic and limited tourism. The downside is that Seychelles does not fit to everyone's budget. An 8 night vacation from Europe to Seychelles will cost you at least 2400 dollars...provided that you consciously limit your expenses and stay at a reasonable quality hotel while visiting the three main islands. There is a risk that this excusivity and expensiveness will go overboard: I heard they charge 10 dollars for a bottle of drinking water at a certain hotel. That's definetly robbery...nothing else.
On the other hand there is no poverty, malaria, dangerous animals, hurricanes or much crime on these islands. Its an astonishingly safe destination...yet a true paradise with so much to offer.
