Riau Province is one of the several provinces located on the Sumatra island of Indonesia. Sumatra island is one of the biggest islands of the Indonesia archepalego and it crosses the Equator.

Riau is a province of many small islands as well as a big portion of Sumatra island consist mainly of tropical rainforests.
