Sichuan is a very colourful province in more ways than one. There are beautiful landscape, people, food, performances etc etc.
Well, this is because Sichuan province is at the eastern end of the Tibetan plateau and its surrounding mountains of the roof of the world. You will notice the sharp peaks of the mountains, which means they are very young mountains like the Himalayans.
Like Yunnan province to the south, Sichuan province has many ethnic groups such as the Zhuang (Tibetan) and Qiang people who lives in the mountain areas.
- In a nutshell:One of the most colourful province in China

Wow...great vista views of Sichuan. Breathtaking scenery with rich ethnic culture, an ideal holiday getaway. Hope to be there soon :)
I like the view of the mountains and so the very interesting life of sichuan people. Thanks for sharing victor.
Interesting tip about The Four Maidens; near Calgary, there's three mountains called The Three Sisters. Greetings from Calgary :o)
There is an old saying in China: "Shu quan fei ri" which means, "In Sichuan dogs bark at the sun" Your description of the mist is the basis for this ancient idiom.
