Relaxing by Lake Te Anau

Favorite thing: There are many benches where you can relax by the beautiful Lake Te Anau and you should really do so, especially in summer or autumn when the weather is good. The weather was chilly when I was there, so I did not sit on the bench for too long but nevertheless it was enjoyable to catch the cooling breeze.

The cook at Settler's Steak House & Bar

Favorite thing: I remembered the cook at Settler's Steak House & Bar where I had dinner because he is a very professional cook which really took time to grill my salmon steak to perfection. I managed to take a photograph of him at work.

Empty streets

Favorite thing: As New Zealand is sparsely populated, the streets at rural towns such as Te Anau are relatively empty which is easy for driving.

Buffet Breakfast @ Luxmore Hotel

Favorite thing: I enjoyed the hot buffet breakfast at the Luxmore Hotel, especially when the weather outside in the morning is very cold.

Walking around the town

Favorite thing: Tel Anau is a small town of about 2000 people and most of the accomodations, shopping, places of interest and restaurants are located along the main street. However, you can explore by walking around the town and you can get a map from your hotel.
