Seletar Travel Guide: 15 reviews and 53 photos
Latest News: It is very sad to find out that the tranquil Seletar area will soon be developed into an aerospace hub by the Singapore government. Work is underway in mid 1997 and a lot of the houses and landscape will be gone forever. Another great loss to Singapore!
====================================================
Seletar is a big area located at northern Singapore and it is very idyllic, scenic and looks like another country rather than Singapore. There are many residential buildings here which are British colonial buildings during the British rule.
Personally, I have worked at Seletar before when I was in the army from 1990 to 1992. I enjoyed the scenery of this place very much and decided to re-visit in Novemeber 2005. Let me share with you information and photos of this wonderful place which you may find useful.
This is the army camp which I used to serve during my days in the Singapore army from 1990 to 1992. The army unit was then known as School of Transport, which trained drivers of motorcycles, jeeps, land rovers, trucks etc. The camp is now deserted, but the photograph brings back good memories :)
- Pros:Scenic and full of historical significance
- Cons:Off the beaten path
- In a nutshell:Worth a visit to experience another side of Singapore

Enjoyed your photos of Seletar. Great to document the "old Singapore" before all the modern development.
