Tid-bit shops

There are a few big shops selling local tid-bits located at the cable-car station at the foot of Genting Highlands, just after you leave your cable-car when you are going down the mountain. There are many many varieties of tid bits at very cheap prices and you can try them out to check out which ones you like before buying. This place is a must when you are leaving Genting Highlands.

Skyway Food Station

There is a cosy cafe called Skyway Food Station at the cable-car station at the foot of Genting Highlands when you make your way up to the mountain. You can have your meals or a snack here if you are hungry, the food is mainly local such as noodles, rice etc but they have sandwiches, burgers etc as well. I find this place relaxing and the good is not bad, worth checking out when you are there.

Buffets

The various hotels in Genting Highlands offer a variety of buffets depending on the period. When I was there in August 2005, the Resort Hotel offered Middle East buffet lunch which is quite nice. So do check out the buffet selections when you are in Genting Highlands.

Restoran Hainan Kitchen

The Restoran Hainan Kitchen serves Chinese food, mainly of the origin from Hainan Island in China. Famous dishes include the chicken rice. During the morning, this restaurant also serves delicious breakfast, which is usually set meals with items such as bread (toasted), eggs, drinks (coffee, tea, milo or orange juice). This restaurant is quite popular.
