Favorite Dish: Try the Malay food dishes which are generally spicy and very tasty e.g. chicken curry, spicy mutton, bagadil (mashed potato balls), lotong, mee siam, satay, mee soto (I'm getting hungry while listing down the dishes ....). In Kuala Lumpur, Malay food is very cheap and you should try it when you are there

Restaurant Name: Street vendors and hawkers
You should try the local food from the roadside street vendors along the famous Bukit Bintang area near to Chinatown. The local food here is cheap and delicious, and famous dishes include the Hokkien noodles, Bak Kut Teh (pork parts in delicious herbal soup and rice), fried oyster omelette, BBQ seafood etc. Best time to go is at night and have your dinner, followed by shopping at nearby shopping area.

The attached pic is not of Batu caves. Its a chn temple, if im not mistaken the temple is Sam Poh Tong in Ipoh, Malaysia. Cheers. |
