Red coloured landscape near Incheon Airport, Korea
Incheon International Airport is the main international airport in South Korea. This relatively new airport is located on an island called Yeongjong-Yeongyu Island in the Yellow Sea, about 1.25 hours drive West of Seoul.

In fact, this area of South Korea consists of many islands with beautiful scenery, as well as the main fishing port city of Incheon itself.

Whenever I travelled from Incheon International Airport to Seoul, I was always captivated by the beautiful and interesting scenery of this area, especially the red coloured landscape formed by the algae.

Let me share with you some information about Incheon and surrounding areas, which hopefully will be useful to you.
Incheon International Airport, South Korea
The Incheon International Airport is relatively new and is one of the best airports in Asia. There is only one terminal so it is easy to move around. There is another airport called Gimpo Airport nearby, which is mainly for domestic flights to different parts of South Korea.
The areas surrounding Incheon International Airport are made up of many islands, which are very beautiful especially during low tide and sunset time. In fact, this area of South Korea is very near to the border with North Korea (which some people might not know).

Great page of Incheon. Impressive airport, when I was in Seoul, I used the old airport at Gimpo. Cheers, SL :)

A very considered and comprehensive page on the Incheon Airport and its surroundings, Victor - should be a real help to travellers. A very impressive looking terminal and, for those going to Seoul, those tides and coloured flats are worth watching for.
