Travel Information & Photographs

by victorwkf - last update: Oct 27, 2009

Thanks a lot for visiting my VT webpages, hope you will find the travel information and photographs useful!

I'm having some difficulties building new VT pages lately due to the busy work schedule and birth of my daughter. Often I feel very tired after work and weekends are rather packed too. However, I will continue to find sometime to build the VT pages, especially when I am on leave or during weekend mornings when I am fresh from a good night sleep :)

In the meantime, wish everyone all the best, good health and happy travels !

============================================================================================
My daughter Andrea

Birth of baby girl !

My wife gave birth to baby girl Andrea in July 2009, and we are all very happy with the new addition to the family :-) Andrea is a lovely girl, and both my wife and her are doing well. With fatherhood, this will mean I have less travelling for now :-)

What travelling means to me

I love to travel and take photographs during travelling. To me travelling is more than just visiting various places, but it is an insight into the exciting culture, landscape and people of various countries. Travel has thought me that the world we live in is a very diverse and dynamic place, and therefore we have to understand and be tolerant of other people and cultures. In this way, there will be more understanding, less conflict and violence and the world will be a better place for all to live in.

Scheduled travels:
Hong Kong (Nov 2009, confirmed)
That's me taking a photo at New Zealand
Relaxing on a cruise, Halong Bay, Vietnam

Singapore, my homeland !

Singapore is a modern, clean, safe and beautiful island country in South East Asia. There are many things to see and do here, as well as lots of delicious food to saviour the taste buds !

More information and photographs are at my VT Singapore page as well as various VT pages on different parts of Singapore such as Serangoon (my home), Kampong Ubi, Changi Village, Mount Faber, Pulau Ubin etc. Do drop by and have a look at these VT pages which I have constructed.

My home, hobbies & interests

I live in the south-eastern part of Singapore which is very rich in traditional landmarks such as Serangoon (where I now live), Katong, Geylang Serai, Joo Chiat, Serangoon etc. It is also a very convenient place to reach the city area and there is also a MRT sub-way station (Farrer Park station) nearby. More information and photographs of the interesting areas around my house are at my VT Serangoon page.

Besides travelling, I also enjoy playing tennis, watching soccer (support Everton), surfing the internet, exploring around Singapore, webpage design etc.

Thanks for your kind wishes, Victor. Not going far, just down the hill from the Monga Nat Park to Batemans Bay. Chaos here at present, but I think there's hope! :))
