<font face="comic sans ms" size="3" color="blue">Jordan is a small Middle Eastern country,which was ruled by King Hussein as a constitutional monarchy.The country streches on different geographic areas with special features.There is the desert,fertile areas,steep valleys,high mountains,Dead Sea 400 meters below sea level. The name of "JORDAN" comes from the Arabic word "AL URDUN". <font face="comic sans ms" size="3" color="black">When we drove away from the airport to Amman,I wondered.What would the capital of Jordan be like? Whenever I looked out the window,all I could see were families climbing the hilly roads.The men wore the traditional red and white Jordanian headdresses,while the women had their heads and faces covered. The scenario quickly changed when we pulled up to the five-star REGENCY PALACE HOTEL on Queen Alia street in Amman.The entrance echoed a European flavor whit marble,antiques,and fine tapestries.Three royal portraits draped a wall: the late King Hussein,his wife,Queen Noor,and the new King Hassan.You could almost hear them say:<font color="blue">"Ahlan Wa Sahlan"<font color="black">"Welcome to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan |
