"Madrid" Madrid by blusky

Even though I visited Madrid in the days just after New Year's Eve, I was able to see how the life changes from day to night. People open shops quite late and they really start living during the evening and night. All of the restaurants, pubs, bar, cafes are full, people eat and drink by the bar desk and talk about the latest things that happened. Everybody is friendly and you'll soon feel like you're home.

City centre is quite easy to explore. Most of the main attractions are not distant from each other, so walking should be the best way to explore Madrid. All the little calle in the old Madrid just starting and finishing will take you to the squares, dead ends, restaurants...you'll never be bored.
