Off The Beaten Path: When visiting Jo'burg, a must...

    • When visiting Jo'burg, a must see activity is the Hartebeestpoort Dam. It is situated approx 40km outside of Jo'burg to the North, towards the direction of Sun City.

    It is a beautiful and historical dam, with amazing views. It is also possible to go up the Hartebeestpoort Mountain in a cable car where at the top you can see all the way back to Jo'burg!

     Hi Karen ,you described S A very well Jo'burg is a bit of an intimedating City ,Voortrekkers was a bit boring ,but the parlement building and grounds in Pretoria and the City buildings were awsome I think Great page Karen.Sun City was great    		cleocat Sat Feb 12, 2005 19:05 UTC
     Hi Spur is a very popular restaurant in SA. I live in Kempton Park about 10 min from Edenvale. I'm not very much into casino's either but Montecasino has a charm of it's own.

     Good SA/Jo'burg pages...i'm in Jo'burg 1 night 24/12 then on to Durban to watch the cricket 25/12 - 30/12.Even though I should be watching the cricket & bought my tickets,I need to skive off to see Sharks & Lions & things...Have fun..Dave :-)
