    I had a good day here for many reasons. I got to go down a gold mine shaft and to see how the gold miners worked, but even better, our tour was given by a Scotsman (we get everywhere!).

    • A must do when visiting SA is to see Gold Reef City.
    It is a great place for more than one reason. It is interesting historically as it is built around an old gold mining town. You can go down in a mine shaft and be given a tour, you can see the gumboot dancers in the square, or you can go for a ride on a horse and cart. But even better if you are a fun loving person like me...you can take a ride on the fastest rollercoster in the country which speeds up to an amazing 96 km/h. There are also many other rides which makes it a great day out.

    Directions: Gold Reef City can also be found just outside of Jo'burg and is very well signposted.

     Hi Karen ,you described S A very well Jo'burg is a bit of an intimedating City ,Voortrekkers was a bit boring ,but the parlement building and grounds in Pretoria and the City buildings were awsome I think Great page Karen.Sun City was great    		cleocat Sat Feb 12, 2005 19:05 UTC
     Hi Spur is a very popular restaurant in SA. I live in Kempton Park about 10 min from Edenvale. I'm not very much into casino's either but Montecasino has a charm of it's own.

     Good SA/Jo'burg pages...i'm in Jo'burg 1 night 24/12 then on to Durban to watch the cricket 25/12 - 30/12.Even though I should be watching the cricket & bought my tickets,I need to skive off to see Sharks & Lions & things...Have fun..Dave :-)
