Ok guys, this is a great place, full of fun
Glasgow is a big city with LOTS of history. It began life as a makeshift hamlet of huts huddled around a 6thC church, built by St Mungo on the banks of a little salmon river, the Clyde. By the 19thC, Glasgow was the greatest shipbuilding centre in the world.
Today the city is still the commercial and industrial capital of the West of Scotland.
I figured it was about time that I put a photo of the City Chambers on my Glasgow page, largely due to the fact that it is probably the most photographed part of the City. Have to give it a bit of airtime!! hehe
Even though I am no longer living here, I still go down every other weekend or so - it is a really great city!! |
