OK, like I mentioned on my SA page, I stayed in Jo'burg. I am actually planning on going back there this summer sometime....can't wait!!
Everyone always hears the worst about Jo'burg, like the fact that there are people just going around killing, so many hijackings etc etc (or at least, you hear this in the UK) However, the whole time I was there, I never experienced anything bad. I even got lost in an area called Brixton (dead centre of Jo'burg) but although all the shops were closed and it didn't look too nice, nothing happened to me...then again I was in a car!!
My reason for writing all this is to point out that you can't be prejudiced about going somewhere just cos you hear bad things...even where I live, in Glasgow, people get killed...it happens all over the world, and although it would be nice if it didn't, we can't miss out on great experiences!! |
