"Ring of Fire" Indian Lake State Park by WILDEFLOWER

Indian Lake State Park Travel Guide: 10 reviews and 29 photos

On a beautiful Sept. evening we cruise out on the lake with friends and at 9:00p.m. everyone on the lake on the shores light red flares at the same time. The sight last only for about 15 minutes tops. The ritual came from when the Indians would light their campfires at the end of the summer for the beginning of a new season. A time to hunt. A new beginning. It is such a beautiful sight to see. You'll need to blow up the pictures to get a better look. Sorry, but these are the best I can do with my camera. Maybe some day you'll see them for your self!

Moundwood

This is a little channel around a few corners from my home. We see beautiful Herring or small looking cranes in this area often. The colors changing in the
fall are like fireworks of nature.
