We (my Brazilian wife and I) celebrated the millenium in Rio and until the end of february, we were travelling for 2 1/2 months all around Brazil as it was my first time to this wonderful and warm of people place...
Rio, Petropolis, Parati, Sao Paulo, Curumba, Pantanal, Campo Grande, Brasilia, Manaus, Fortaleza, Jericoacoara, Recife, Olinda, Maceio, Salvador, Pelourinho, Morro de Sao Paulo, Cachoeira, Ilha dos Frades, Ilha de Itaparica, Ouro Preto, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre, Gramado, Nova Hamburgo, Canela, a journey full of surprises, music and passion.
Brazilians are the most musical people I have ever met and you can see that everywhere. They make music almost from anything and arouse the rhythm inside you. Music is realy the heart of this country and is full of passion, of sentiment and happiness.

In Parati (4 hours from Rio) a must is 'Arpoador' restaurant with live music, good atmosphere and excellent menu. Don't... more travel advice
