Flowers from the Historic Gardens - Annapolis Royal

There are many sites to check out in Annapolis Royal and the surrounding area. This is the area where the French first tried to settle North America in the early 1600's. Nearby Port Royal is the site of Champlain's Habitation. Fort Anne is a later fort built after Port Royal was destroyed. Nearby we also visited the Historic Gardens, and an operating tidal power generating station and a museum home featuring 18th century furnishings, etc.

Nice pics and historical information here Lats! Did you know they had to shut the tidal station down for few days last year when a whale swam up into the pond? He eventually got back out in one piece!
