Another day trip from London, Ont is Pinery Provincial Park on the shores of Lake Huron. This park is 70 minutes from London, and features a lovely 10 km beach with a beautiful blue Lake Huron.
The local town is Grand Bend, and it is the typical beach town with eight blocks of tourist services from accommodation to chip joints to tourist souvenirs (and RCMP, Tim Hortons, etc.).
After a busy day in the park, we made it to Grand Bend for coffee and a snack before heading home to London. We were treated to a beautiful site as the sun was dropping into Lake Huron. |
