"Basel - Northwest corner of Switzerland" Basel by Redlats

I have an aunt and uncle in Basel, so everytime I visit Switzerland, we land up visiting Basel. Unfortunately because the primary reason for going there is to visit family, we have not toured Basel extensively. We have walked the downtown, crossed the river on that little ferry, and gone to the zoo. There is a Roman city being unearthed just outside Basel, and I have visited it about 4 times since the 1970's.

I even mistook the Basel train station for Bern once, and got off a train (we were on an overnight from Paris to Bern). When I walked about 100m from the train, it up and left on me - with all my luggage and wife on board. Lucky I had the eurail passes, and the next train to Berne was only an hour later.
