Preparing the travel, I realized the vicinity of Richmond and Washington. The two adversaries of the Civil War are at 100 miles (160 Km) by I95. It is understandable that the battles in the neighborhood of each were numerous and ferocious.
We went there on Sunday. The town was rather empty. It is not a touristic place. Several areas are a bit dirty but others are beautiful as you can see on the following photographs.
Here and there, we saw fish statues which is the symbol of the South.
