On the Jack London's track It looks like the Mediterranean Coast or may be, the Coast of Britany. No. It is unique. It is the BIG SUR.
It is the perfect place to enjoy the nature and to walk. Or to ride a horse, like Jack London did from the Moon Valley.
Henri Miller inhabited there too. May be with Marilyn. He said : "For the first time, I have the feeling to life in the world in which I was born".
This area was a wild country until 1937, when the road A1 was built.
We traveled on this road early on the morning the last day of June 2004. I guess the view must be more beautiful on the evening with the sun set.
But we enjoied the quiet atmosphere : few other drivers. We awoke up the lion seals.
I apologize for the title which is a bad French joke but I cannot be the x.. to put Big Sur as a title. |
