Capitol of washington
Favorite thing: Climb the Capitol stair. Head of the congress. Free visit.
Fondest memory: The frontage is oriented East because, initially, Americans thought the town developped West.
Washington Monument
Favorite thing: Climb to the top of the Washington Monument - National Mall & 15th St NW. Set up in 1885. High : 170 m. Free ticket to obtain at 15th St.
Fondest memory: During our stay in Washington the Monument was closed.
Lincoln Memorial
Favorite thing: Watch the Lincoln's statue in the Lincoln Memorial. At the West of the Mall (Subway : Foggy Bottom - Lines orange or blue)
Fondest memory: He sits on his huge harmchair and looks at the visitors.
This photograph is the evidence that The Planet of Apes is a fiction (though Lincoln was named by his ennemies : The Honest Abe).

Georgetown
Favorite thing: Go to Georgetown which is an area of Washington DC rather pleasant with shops and restaurants. To go there take M Street and go West
Fondest memory: MORE : SEE THE TRAVELOGUE
Pentagon
Favorite thing: See the Pentagon on the other Potomac bank.
It might be visited before September 11.
Fondest memory: The photograph was taken the 4 August 2001, before the Terrorist Attack.
Vietnam Veterans Memorial
Favorite thing: See the Vietnam Veterans Memorial located on the Mall : Constitution Avenue (between Henry Bacon Dr & 21st street)near the Lincoln Memorial - Subway : Foggy Bottom -
Fondest memory: This statue is on the style of the movies. The 58.000 victims of the war are named on a near monument more simple.
White House
Favorite thing: Say hello to Mr BUSH during your visit of the White House.
Fondest memory: Near 10 rooms on 135 can be visited and they are not the most interesting ones ... but it is the White House, a mythical place.
During the tour, you can see the portrait of Washington saved by Ms Adams, the president's wife, when the English soldiers set the fire to the WH during the 1812 War. The Photographs and video are not allowed.
