For a French guy, London is a strange city. In the cars, the front passenger occupies the driver place. The streets, places and stations are named with names of defeats (Trafalgar Sq, Waterloo Station). When I cross a street I must look left when I look right in France and vice versa. In this case, I obey to the order written on the road surface but I see also to the opposite direction : it may be a French who arrives by this way...
More seriously, what a beautiful city. A lot of monuments issued from the England History. Those of the last 3 centuries give us an idea of the greatness of the Empire. Museums too : London Tower, British Museum, National Gallery, Madame Tussaud (Wax Museum) Shopping : Harrods, Bloomindale, Oxford Street, Market of Coven Garden, Kings Road, Portobello Market (flea market) Restaurants : especially Indian All of that is at 3 hours of Paris. All of that is also expensive on my own advice. |
