Spring is the best period to visit Sicily. The weather is warm and there is few wind. The Island is crowdy in Summer.
There are a lot things to see there : nature especially the flowers, history (every people has invaded the Island : Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Normans, leaving tracks of their culture), art (each church is beautifull), museum (antique).
The attached pic has been taken in Catania but I do not remember the name of the church (there are so many)

Visit it in October, not too many people around and the sea is still warm enough for a swim!

Nice tips and Etna pictures, but the car is spelt macchina and Etna is around 3500 (not 2500) metres high! Keep up the nice work! mac
