Between Mountains and Sea The Pyrénées on the South, the Cevennes (mountains) onthe North West, the Provence on the North East and the Sea (Mediterranea) on the East, the "département" of Hérault is a perfect location for the persons who like to go swimming in the sea, the rivers, the lakes, the pools, sunbathing, walk in the mountains, visit ancient typical villages, watch the wild nature, go in natural caves, see monuments and ancient churchs, visit museums, eat typical food, taste wine, and spend few money.
The other tourists can go elsewhere.
Less known than Provence and the Riviera, the Hérault has a lot of attractions to offer to the visitors for a reasonable budget. |

I saw Bouzigue in 1992 and would go back in a heartbeat.Sitting on the edge of the etang with a plate of oysters and a bottle of white wine is divine. | tpal Sat Apr 30, 2005 20:03 UTC Carol and I are still trying to settle on a region of France to visit for 7-10 days next year. The area you describe around St. Guilhen de Desert sounds like a real possibility. Thanks for the tour...Tom | dr.firas Sat Jun 19, 2004 19:05 UTC Maybe next year I shall see it in La belle France :-) Merci beaucoup Lionel :-) |
