Galveston was really my first oceanside experience. For a long time it was the "sea" in my mind. Going there today I realize it definately doesn't have the most beautiful beaches or the most incredible seafood, but it still has an old town atmosphere not found in many trendy resorts. It's a nice, pleasant place to relax and enjoy yourself.
